We were honored to be part of the International Conference on “Strengthening Women’s Participation in Peace and Security Processes” organized by the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia on June 28, 2024 in Tbilisi.
Distinguished speakers from Northern Ireland, Georgia, Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, UK, Denmark, UN Women and EUMM Field Office Gori touched upon different aspects of the Women’s role in building and sustaining peace.
The Conference comprised a closed – door roundtable discussion on “Gender-Inclusive Peace in the South Caucasus Region”. Ms. Armine G. Margaryan, the WGSA President & Founder was honored to be a speaker of the aforementioned discussion.
Sustaining, dignified and gender inclusive peace in The South Caucasus is an absolute priority and joint efforts should be made to generate knowledge to advance the implementation of WPS commitments as well as ensure gender responsive peacebuilding in the South Caucasus.
