Comprehensive Security & Resilience International Conference

On June 6-7, 2024 Women & Global Security Architecture – WGSA, within the framework of the Comprehensive Security & Resilience Project hosted the Comprehensive Security & Resilience International Conference in Yerevan, Armenia. The primary goal of the Conference was to promote the implementation of the Armenian Comprehensive Security Model by encouraging intra-Armenian public and professional discourse on its various components, as well as raising public awareness on the experience of Finland, Sweden and Estonia.

✅ The opening remarks were delivered by Armine G. Margaryan, President and Founder of the Women Global Security Architecture – WGSA, followed by welcome messages delivered by H.E. Ms. Anna Aghadjanian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of Sweden, the Republic of Finland, the Kingdom of Norway, Iceland, and the Kingdom of Denmark (residence in Stockholm), H.E. Ms. Kirsti Narinen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to the Republic of Armenia (residence in Helsinki), H.E. Ms. Riina Kaljurand, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to the Republic of Armenia (residence in Tbilisi) and H.E. Mr. Patrik Svensson, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Armenia.
✅ During the two-day Conference 6 panel discussions were held on modern warfare and democracy, role of military training associations, reserve force and territorial force, private sector, digital domain and strategic communication in Comprehensive Security and Defense System. The first day of the conference was open to media coverage, and the second was held in accordance with the Chatham House rule.
✅ Representatives of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, European Mission in Armenia, as well as the Armenian, Finnish, Estonian and Swedish experts, think tankers participated in the event.
✅ The Conference was funded by the following embassies accredited to the Republic of Armenia: Embassy of the Republic of Finland (residence in Helsinki), Embassy of the Republic of Estonia (residence in Tbilisi) and Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden.
