Modern security challenges demand a modern military, one that defends not just borders, but very foundations of democratic and resilience societies. Thus, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s one of the core pillars of comprehensive security, the modern armed forces must be professional, accountable, and strategically integrated within a whole-of-society approach to national resilience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This panel will emphasize how defence transformation, when grounded in democratic accountability and embedded in broader national strategy, contributes to societal resilience and enhances strategic deterrence.
