“Informal Meeting” with Romanos Petrosyan, the Interim Manager of “ENA” (Electric Networks of Armenia) CJSC

On April 9, 2026, within the framework of the “Resilience School” project, an “Informal Meeting” for youth was held with Romanos Petrosyan, the Interim Manager of “ENA” (Electric Networks of Armenia) CJSC.

The meeting opened with Romanos Petrosyan outlining the comprehensive reforms underway in the sector, leading into a Q&A and an interactive discussion.

The youth raised questions regarding a potential revision of the agreement with the Russian Federation on the Nuclear Power Plant’s service life extension, considering current geopolitical developments, Armenia’s foreign policy agenda, and the role of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology in ensuring national energy security.

The discussion also covered the potential impact of Firebird’s upcoming AI center on the national power grid, as well as prospects for energy cooperation with Azerbaijan and Türkiye. Additionally, participants explored the current energy swap deal with Iran, the future status of ENA, and potential shifts in electricity tariffs.
